Frequently Asked Questions!
Our courses run for between 3-4 weeks of education totaling between 25 and 35 hours including an Examination prior to Certification. Schedules are flexible and some students will learn faster than others, so please consult our team for particular questions or needs.
How Long are Your Courses?
How Many Students will be in a Course?
We typically accept up to 4 students per month as our courses are semi-private and very hands-on. You can expect to share the academy space with up to 2-3 fellow technicians somewhere along their training journey.
How Difficult is a Course?
While students will come with different capabilities and skill levels, we have never had a student fail to graduate a course in our history. Your Master Educator will work closely with you to ensure success, and the flexibility allows for small breaks and breathers if necessary to digest course content. You can do it!
Courses generally start one month after your deposit is collected, unless we have a sooner availability or cancellation to fit you within. That gives us enough time to procure your kit and materials and create a custom training schedule with your Master Educator.
Our Gel-X Workshops run monthly though, so do inquire about when the next one will take place!
How Far Out Should I Book My Start?
Can I Visit the Space Before Signing Up?
Of course! We’re happy to reserve a time for you to meet our Master Educators and explore our salon and academy space. You can always swing by for a fresh set of nails as well—all of our technicians are Sunday Certified and examples of the skills you will develop from your training.
Get in touch with us over email or submit a request through one of the handy submission boxes found throughout our Education pages. We’ll collect a deposit or help arrange financing and get you in touch with a Master Educator to finalize dates!
How Do I Enroll?
How Do Indigenous Funding / RESP Funding /Tax-Deductible Funding Work?
If you believe you qualify for indigenous funding, RESP funds, or other tax-deductible funding options, please get in touch with us so we can work together with your band or financial institution. There’s a bit of paperwork on both ends, but we can always make it work!
Are Deposits or Tuition Refundable?
While we’ll always do our best to support students when life happens, our education deposits are non-refundable. We can work out a custom training plan for digital/e-learning, postpone your training for another day, or change courses, but we cannot refund our educator’s time that has been reserved or return the various components of kits to our vendors.
What Financing Options are Available?
We offer a number of financing options for students looking to invest in their careers with a repayment plan. We have partnered with Klarna and Afterpay for short-term financing, and Medicard iFinance for longer term offers. Please reach out to us to discuss which options are best for your unique situation!
